TOP SOUTHEAST ASIAN FOOD IN BEIJING

Indeed, when we go to Beijing, we have to try typical Beijing food like Peking duck and other Chinese foods, but for fans of Southeast Asian food or maybe want to try food other than Chinese food, here are some choices of Southeast Asian food restaurants in Beijing.

1. THAI FOOD – HOME RESTAURANT

It’s really possible to indulge your craving for Thai food. This restaurant is spacious and located in Sanlitun Area which is a hype mall, so easy to be found. In addition, they also have a private room, so if you come with a sufficient number of people over 8 people, you can request a private room. The food is also clean and tastes good.

Lemak Rice, Chicken Rice, Curry Chicken, Spicy and Sour Nyonya Fish. That’s what in our mind when we heard of Malaysian Food. Located in The Place Mall, which is a unique style of Mall, you can take a walk, shopping and try various food including this Malaysia Style Food.

3. VIETNAMESE FOOD – SAIGON MAMA

For fans of Vietnamese food, this restaurant has a very authentic taste, the place is comfortable and taste of the foods are delicious. As most of Vietnamese Food are not greasy and oily, it’s a plus point for someone who doesn’t like greasy food. Must menus that must be ordered are Banh Mi, Pho and Grilled Pork. Food menu prices around CNY 50-60 / portion.

4. INDONESIAN FOOD – NOM NOM RESTAURANT

This place is a favorite restaurant for Indonesian people who is living in Beijing, so far, there are only a few Indonesian restaurants that can be found in Beijing and this one is one of still surviving list. Menu in this restaurant is quite a lot, there are rendang, green chili sauce, ‘geprek’ chicken, soto, satay, tempeh etc. Besides every week they will have a special menu so that there will be many variation each week. For foreigners who never try Indonesian food, you can start with Ayam Geprek (Geprek chicken) and Beef Rendang. Personally, for Indonesian food, he price is a bit pricey but still it’s hardly to find Indonesian food in Beijing.

5. SINGAPOREAN FOOD – BORDERLESS RESTAURANT ( 跃 生活 味 无 界)

Stopby here due to its Chicken Rice. Located inside Mall and a good choice for someone who loves Singaporean food. Menu is quite various and taste pretty good. But basically Singaporean and Malaysian foods are quite similar, so which one do you prefer?
